ESSENTIAL DUTIES & CORE COMPETENCIES
This position is primarily responsible for managing LES’ energy market settlements, transmission settlements, and transmission congestion right settlements in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) Regional Transmission Organization (RTO). Specific responsibilities include overseeing the download, validation and shadow of energy market settlement statements, validation of transmission customer and owner statements, and execution of required processes. Analyzes energy and congestion market performance and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Oversees the validation and review of energy market settlement statements and works closely with peers to develop and revise short-term and long-term market strategies.
- Analyzes energy and congestion market performance and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Establishes and implements policies and processes for area of assignment and assesses risks related to policies and department activities.
