Our people

Our people make the difference, so we ensure that they are equipped with the tools they need to continue to grow their passion and advance their careers at LES.

Whether it’s through their day-to-day job or volunteering, our team is made up of dedicated employees who want to make our community a better place to live, work and go to school.

LES’ employee-driven committees connect employees to the causes they are passionate about while working together to bring experiences to the company that inspire us all to do more.

KATIE, Environmental

“My career at LES has been very diverse, and our environmental team performs work all across our service territory. I am passionate about reducing the environmental impact of our work and about making a contribution to both LES and the community we serve.”

MANNY, Building Maintenance

“I believe what makes LES a great place to work is I not only get to do my job to the best of my ability, but employees are also allowed the opportunity to volunteer and participate in many of the LES-organized activities which give back to our community.”

JERRY, Customer Care

“I enjoy the opportunity to make contacts with customers every day and help them with their customer service needs like breaking down their bill for them or helping set up their online account.”

Serving our community

At LES, our commitment to the community goes far beyond providing a safe, reliable and affordable supply of electricity. It’s about making our community a better place to live.

We give back in numerous ways, including through education outreach programs, volunteering in the community, sponsoring events, fundraising, and more.

LES Employees raised $117,203 for United Way in 2023 during the Workplace Giving Campaign. Additionally, employees donated $5,200+ and 2,000 items to eight local organizations throughout the year.

Innovation

Our mission at LES is to be a progressive leader. As electrification continues to expand to new areas of our lives, the demand for electricity grows, and so does the need to anticipate our customers’ needs.

We have earned a reputation for innovation and creativity within the industry. We work with public and private partners across the country to stay at the forefront of technology, sustainability and innovation through hands-on learning, including indoor and outdoor lineworker training facilities, national and regional cyber security drills and virtual reality experiences.
