POSITION SUMMARY:

The SCADA/EMS Supervisor manages the team responsible for the SCADA and EMS IT/OT Systems. These include but are not limited to VMware hosts and servers, Cisco networking gear, line of business applications, workstations and compliance for the electric utility. This role ensures that the team and these systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Lead and support a team of SCADA/EMS staff that manage these IT/OT systems.
  • System Management: Oversee and ensure the SCADA/EMS systems are working well and securely.
  • Problem Solving: Work with the team to address and resolve any system issues or incidents.
  • Maintenance: Manage the schedule of system updates and routine maintenance.
  • Project Oversight: Facilitate the PM role with the project lead regarding system upgrades and new implementations.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of system operations and issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure the systems follow industry standards and security best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work with other divisions and departments to support operational needs and improvements.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and at least seven years of progressively responsible IT experience in area of assignment, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
