We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Repair Technician to join our team! In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of hand and power tools to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The types of tools you would be working on include, but are not limited to: chainsaws, snow blowers, weed trimmers, generators, inline compression presses, all types of line utility tools, pruners, cutters, hot sticks, screwdrivers and digital multimeters. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, experience with electrical and pneumatic systems, and a commitment to quality workmanship. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES
Responsible for maintaining specialized tools, equipment, and materials for electric utility industry. Specific responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, documenting work and maintaining inventory. Performs emergency and overtime work as needed. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
- Under direct or general supervision, performs major and/or minor service, adjustments, repairs, condition assessments, and preventative maintenance on equipment and tools including documentation of work performed.
- Under direct or general supervision, assists with calibrating specialized equipment, including air monitoring devices.
- Under direct or general supervision, conducts performance testing on hot sticks, grounding cables and devices, test instruments, and multimeters/ammeters.
- Assists with maintaining inventory of specialized equipment, tools, repair parts, and materials. Performs documentation for issuing and returning materials, and cycle counting.
