ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES

 

Responsible for coordinating plant support functions. Specific responsibilities include coordinating work, coordinating travel for staff, assisting with special projects, inventory assistance, and budget and expense tracking. Assists the maintenance and inventory coordinator and performs some duties during absences as well as provides guidance to staff on plant policies and procedures.  Consistent and reliable attendance is required. 

 

  • Oversees and coordinates service vendors, including scheduling and ensuring quality control of work performed. 

  • Provides plant security through remote controlled gates, video camera surveillance, issuing access badges and maintaining visitor logs. 

  • Completes staffing timesheets including comprehensive rotating shift scheduling.
  • Prepares vouchers, purchase requisitions, service entry sheets, and other required documentation using the enterprise software system and documents department involvement in construction activities. 
  • Coordinates all business-related travel for plant staff and audits plant purchasing card statements including appropriate receipts, sales tax, etc. 
  • Prepares and coordinates all shipments, including large freight, researching cost effective means, creating Bill of Ladings, and scheduling pick up in accordance with guidelines for hazardous materials or international shipping when required. Investigates and documents discrepancies on incoming shipments and contacts vendors for resolution.
  • Performs various routine clerical duties, such as using standard office equipment, screening incoming calls, data entry, faxing documents, filing, typing, and using basic computer software.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • At least four years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment, or 

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
