Join our team as a Material Handler where your work helps power our community every day! We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused individual to manage the flow of materials and equipment essential to our operations, SAP experience a plus! In this role, you'll support field crews, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure timely delivery of parts—all while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Assists and performs storeroom functions. Specific duties include assisting with shipping, receiving, coding, and stocking materials; issuing materials; reclaiming returned materials and processing for salvage when applicable; working directly with customers; maintaining inventory; safely operating forklifts, parts picker, pole loader, and other equipment; and assists with performing documentation needed for issuing and returning of materials, received reports, and sales tickets. Performs emergency and overtime work, as necessary. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

 

  • Under direct supervision, operates power equipment to move, load, and unload various materials including, but not limited to, forklifts, parts picker, pole loader, hand truck, pallet jack, cranes, and hoists.
  • Interacts with customers using various methods of communication including face-to-face, email, chat, and phone. 
  • Under direct supervision, prepares the proper documentation for issuing and returning of materials, reports, sales tickets, work orders, etc.
  • Under direct supervision, maintains inventory of equipment, tools, and materials including providing support for cycle counting.

  • Knowledge of accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques utilized in handling and storing stock items. 
  • Using a computer and related software applications. 
  • Knowledge in analyzing equipment malfunctions, recommend options for corrective action, and make repairs as assigned. 
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or ability in working with tools, equipment, vehicles and general warehouse machinery. 
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Safe work practices. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma, or G.E.D., and 
  • At least one year of related experience, or 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
