We’re seeking a temporary Credit Field Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you’ll represent LES to perform credit-related meter tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in independent, hands-on work, has strong communication and conflict management skills, and can confidently navigate our service area.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting meters due to nonpayment or vacancies. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Sleeves single-phase meters where collection activities have been unsuccessful and unsleeves meters when payment issues have been resolved.

Updates records for disconnected accounts and reconnected accounts.

Performs field audits on electric meters to identify potentially hazardous conditions at customer properties and creates trouble reports for proper LES personnel.

Investigates and reports suspected incidents of meter tampering or other damage to LES facilities.
- Complies with all LES safety rules and procedures.

- Knowledge of applicable tools and equipment used in the trade.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma, or G.E.D., and
• Two years of related experience, or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
