We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented experienced Custodial Operations Lead to oversee custodial services across our LES facilities, ensuring clean, safe, and efficient work environments that support critical energy operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Performs a variety of duties, requiring skill in operations, maintenance, and cleaning of LES owned buildings in accordance with LES policies, safety rules, procedures and practices to maintain efficient and functional buildings. Specific duties include supervision of custodial staff, leading training initiatives, prioritizing tasks, engaging in continuous process improvement to gain efficiencies, working independently on requested tasks to meet facility goals, and responding to after-hour facility needs as needed. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Assigns, supervises, inspects, and evaluates the work of the custodial personnel assigned to the facility daily.
- Acquaints new employees with their work procedure, schedules, rules, and regulations, and answers all questions which enable the employee to work more effectively.
- Creates, implements, and leads training programs for contracted and regular custodial staff.
- Coordinates custodial staff schedule to facility and activity needs. Revises schedule as necessary during emergency periods, absence of employees, and secures assistance from other areas as the need may arise.
- Ensures that custodial facility equipment is operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and machines within reasonable capabilities.
- Orders and maintains inventory, and delivers supplies, materials, and equipment between facilities.
- Monitors and inspects custodial services daily to verify successful completion of work and recommends corrective action to management.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient knowledge of custodial trades and the associated tools, equipment, and chemicals to complete the essential duties of the job effectively.
- Basic computer knowledge to include word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to create floor maintenance schedules and assigned cleaning areas.
- Proficient knowledge of materials, methods, and skills used in floor care and maintenance including strip/wax, buff, and carpet extraction.
- Ability to identify and properly use cleaning chemicals by following product directions and safety guidelines.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or G.E.D., and
- At least three to five years of related experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid driver’s license.
- ISSA Custodial Supervisor Certification preferred.
